WHO WE ARE
Not a business or resort but an intentional, personalized ministry, the Fireside is a working Christian Homestead with a fellowship of believers welcoming people for retreats or day-visits. The Homestead provides a much-needed escape for individuals, couples, or families, looking for a Christ-centered place to connect with God on a personal level or through interacting with others living out an alternative, simpler life. At the Homestead, great importance is placed on relationship with God and each other, as well as living sustainably off the land.
In our current culture, the questions of life, responsibilities of family, careers, maintaining a home, social life, and health, as well as planning for the future and balancing life in general, not to mention the tragedies that come unexpectedly, can all be physically and spiritually exhausting. Stepping off today's overstimulating treadmill of life to retreat and to ‘Reset and Reconnect’ in a quiet place where you can hear God speak to you, may be the break you need.
